Bernard on the Aux

Bernard on the Aux is Bernard’s music writing project: part review site, part listening journal, and part personal record of what is catching his attention.

Goal

The goal is to create a durable home for thoughtful music writing. That means having a place to publish reviews, reflect on gigs, and build up a body of writing that is personal enough to feel honest but structured enough to be worth revisiting.

Purpose

Its purpose is broader than simply logging what Bernard is listening to. It gives shape to his taste, strengthens his editorial voice, and creates a distinct project that sits outside client work. It is also a useful reminder that good digital work can support culture and curiosity, not just business needs.

How It’s Doing

As an active project, Bernard on the Aux already has a clear identity and a strong reason to exist. It feels healthy in the way many personal publishing projects should: steady, expressive, and shaped by consistency rather than hype. Its success is less about scale and more about whether it keeps producing thoughtful work, and on that front it looks to be doing well.
